When I received a box of Soda Pop freezer pops I knew I wanted to do something with the soda logos but I did not know exactly want. So the empty box has been sitting around our apartment for months while I tried to figure it out. One day I remembered the grape soda pin that Russel had from the Disney movie Up and I instantly knew what I was going to do. I wanted to recreate the scene where Mr. and Mrs. Fredricksen's house took flight. This craft would also be great if it has done with Grape soda logos or the exact pin from the movie but I love the variety and the different colors of the balloons in my poster. I love how my poster turned out and I am proudly displaying mine next to my door to encourage myself to go on an adventure everyday. Simply create something that will inspire you.
Materials:
-Blue foam sheets
-Soda Pops Freezer pops box (bought at Dollar Tree)
-Another Popsicle box to be used for the clouds
-Print out of the house from UP
-Glue
-Black marker
-Scissors
Step 1: Cut out the soda pop circles from the Soda Pops Freezer pops box.
Step 2: Cut out clouds from another Popsicle box.
Step 3: Glue clouds to the foam sheets.
Step 4: Create the bunch of balloons by gluing the larger circles about 3/4ths of the way up from the bottom of the foam and then glue the remaining circles by decreasing in size.
Step 5: Color the printout of the house from UP (I googled "up house drawing") and glue it to the blue foam (about 1/4th of the way up from the bottom).
Step 6: Draw the lines for the balloons from the house to the balloons.
